Feenstra Biological Consulting

 

Jon Feenstra is a lifelong naturalist and has been working as a contract biological consultant since 2007. He has worked throughout Southern California, largely as a surveyor or expert consultant concerning birds. He holds federal T/E survey permits for California Gnatcatcher and southwestern Willow Flycatcher (TE128462-2). Jon also has extensive survey and monitoring experience with least Bell’s Vireo, Burrowing Owl, California Spotted Owl, Swainson’s Hawk, Mountain Plover, Snowy Plover, and Tricolored Blackbird. Moreover, he has found and monitored the nests of more than 100 species in the context of construction projects and has provided multiple firms with expert resource impact minimization advice.


In addition to birds, Jon has also participated in rare plant surveys, desert tortoise, flat-tailed horned lizard, fringe-toed lizard, and general biota surveys.
